Monique Wengler was born in Trinidad and Tobago. Due to her captivating smoky voice and her impressive stage performance, she will capture your full attention in no time. Using her Caribbean temperament, Monique not only interprets the music, she lives, she feels and she lets her body speak the song. It doesn´t matter if the music is jazz, rock or pop, she portrays each song in her own emotional way, so that you feel with her. She speaks to the audience through her interpretation of the music.
Burkhard Malmen accompanies her on the e-piano and vocals. Together they create an atmosphere in which you think they have been forever.
Burkhard Malmen (*1964): is working as a music teacher who can play an extensive repertoire of different musical directions due to many years of experience. As a pianist, bassist and composer, he has written a range of musicals for Lübeck Theatre and for many various bands, such as: blues, rock, funk, pop, shanty and folk.
